I find it fascinating that a horse will let a bird sit on its back for hours but will swat a fly away in seconds.   I took a couple 'candid' shots after a recent photo shoot.  Check them out...

I just covered my first hunter/jumper show on June 6 & 7 and let me just say...WOW!!!  I am hooked!  I loved everything about the show...well except the other PRO photographers intruding on my area, handing out their business cards, and telling riders to check out the 'proofs' on THEIR sites. (See Exhibits 1 & 2, below.)  LOL   It's one thing for friends, family and fellow riders to photograph eachother.  It's another thing for other pros to come in and take over.  Afterall, what's the point of being the 'official show photographer' if other pros are alllowed to just show up and start selling their photos.  Well, I finally spoke to the show manager and she said if it happened again, she would ask them to leave.  Good for her!  I appreciate a show manager who is willing to work with me.  Anyhoo, I'll end this rant on a positive note:  I realize now that I want to cover mostly hunter/jumper shows! I've got another show coming up in July... it's the Emerald Classic at Donida so I guess I'm off to a good start! Also, you can see a few of the photos from this event below.

Here's a few silly pics that I took today.  Enjoy...

Connor notices our horse, Misty as he gazes out our living room window.  The rest is self explanatory...
